Prepare a service request, preview the message, and open WhatsApp ready to send.

== Description ==

BriefGo adds a compact service-request card using the [briefgo] shortcode.
Visitors choose a service, optionally describe a preferred time and add a short
note, then review the message and open WhatsApp. They send the message themselves.
The business owner configures the recipient's work number and service list.

Features:
* One simple Settings > BriefGo screen.
* Service, preferred time, and optional note.
* Plain-text preview and copy-message action.
* Independent cards when the shortcode appears more than once.
* Local CSS and JavaScript loaded for the card.
* Keyboard support and Russian/English translations.
* A direct WhatsApp link when JavaScript is unavailable.

BriefGo is developed by Coocadev. The complete feature set is included, without
license keys, paid feature unlocks, or a trial period. The plugin uses WordPress's
standard update mechanism and does not include an external updater.

== Installation ==

1. Install BriefGo from the WordPress.org directory once it is available, or open
   Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin to install the ZIP package.
2. If installing the ZIP, upload briefgo-1.0.1.zip. Activate BriefGo.
3. Open Settings > BriefGo.
4. Enter the recipient's WhatsApp number with its country code, and add services.
5. Save and use the test link to verify the actual recipient.
6. Place [briefgo] in a Shortcode block or the Classic Editor.
7. Clear any page cache, then test the published page on desktop and mobile.

Requires WordPress 6.3+, PHP 8.2+, and a single-site installation.
Multisite activation is intentionally unavailable in version 1.0.

== External service and privacy ==

WhatsApp is the only external service used by the handoff. When a visitor chooses
to open it, BriefGo creates https://wa.me/NUMBER?text=ENCODED_MESSAGE. The configured
number and prepared text are passed to WhatsApp through that URL. The message can
appear in browser history even if the visitor does not send it in WhatsApp.

BriefGo does not save visitor requests in WordPress, add cookies or Web Storage,
or send requests to a BriefGo server. It loads no external fonts, SDKs, or tracking.
Other plugins, the browser, and WhatsApp may have their own data-processing behavior.

BriefGo is independent of WhatsApp and Meta.

== Frequently Asked Questions ==

= Where does the receiving number come from? =
The website owner enters the business recipient's number in Settings > BriefGo.
All cards use this number. The visitor sends from their own WhatsApp account.

= Is a selected time a booking? =
It is a preference written by the visitor. The business confirms it in the conversation.

= Can BriefGo confirm message delivery? =
No. Opening WhatsApp does not confirm sending or delivery, and BriefGo does not
receive a delivery notification from WhatsApp.

= What are the limits? =
Up to 20 services, service names up to 80 characters, preferred time up to 120
Unicode characters, and note up to 300. A 6,000-character encoded link is BriefGo's
own conservative guard, not a claimed universal WhatsApp limit. If a link is too
long or cannot open, shorten the note or copy the preview into WhatsApp manually.

= What if copying fails? =
The preview is selectable. Select it and use the browser's copy action.

= Why are settings changes not visible? =
Clear the page/CDN cache after changing the number, text, or services.

= What happens when I deactivate or delete BriefGo? =
Deactivation keeps settings. Explicit deletion removes only the briefgo_settings
option. Remove [briefgo] from your pages when you stop using the plugin; otherwise
WordPress may display the inactive shortcode as text.
